Vintage Sewing Treasure Tins
Vintage Sewing Treasure Tins
These are real treasures, put together for us at The Stitchery by Cherry of Cherry Pie Vintage. No two are the same and I’ve photographed a couple of the full contents to give an idea of the treasures to be found within.
All tins contain vintage fabric scraps in various colours (mostly 50s/60s) - the photos are contents from previous tins which give you an idea of what you can expect to find in these boxes inspired by ‘Granny’s sewing tin’.
Hand-stamped cotton scraps (stamped with vintage-inspired stamps for you to sew or use as patches
Vintage threads in various colours (some sewing thread and some are embroidery floss).
Strips of ribbon or trim.
A vintage packet of assorted buttons
Other treasures which vary across the boxes might include tiny wooden boxes, press-studs, old name tapes, thimbles, Suffolk puffs, pins, safety pins, tiny ornaments, (a couple have random squeaky toy inserts!), tiny colouring pencils and cards from vintage card games. Everything is vintage and fun, they are a real delight to play with. All are quite bright and colourful with inspiration definitely taken from the 40s and 50s. Limited supply and all treasures are tucked into vintage tins which, whilst bashed and battered, are in full working order.
